and it didn't exactly win, but I just don't want to do semi-serious cooking after dealing with some of that.

If I feel like dessert I have some lovely Elephant Heart plums from Blossom Bluff (Fresno County). But I'm thinking they're breakfast, with yogurt and granola (I am currently really loving TJ's "Gluten Free, Fruits and Nuts").

If I get too precious about the "eating local" thing, someone slap me, okay? But I like doing it as much as possible - it puts me in mind more of the local, seasonal eating of my childhood.
